Regarding Reciting Supplications in Bengali After Prostration Tasbih in Nafl Prayers

Kobir Hasan from E-mail

Question: After reciting the Tasbih of prostration during voluntary (Nafl) prayers, is it allowed to make supplications in Bengali?

Answer: That is not acceptable. The compulsory Masnoon (prophetic) prayers in Arabic are the only prayers that can be offered in one’s native language during a prayer. The prayer becomes invalid if this is done. After prayers are finished, it is appropriate to make a lot of supplications.
