Rizvi: ‘Secret’ forces in country backing Sheikh Hasina’s conspiracy

BNP Acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has alleged that “secret forces” in the country are supporting Sheikh Hasina’s conspiracy. He said the fugitive fascist is trying to destabilise the country by pulling the strings from India, while “secret and dormant elements” inside the country are fanning the flames.
He made the remarks at a protest procession and rally organised by Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal against planned acts of violence and arson in the country, in front of the BNP central office in Paltan, Dhaka, on Wednesday afternoon.
Speaking about the energy crisis, the BNP acting secretary general said the government was sincerely working to address the country’s electricity and energy shortages.
Citing electricity situations in different countries around the world, he said power supplies have currently been disrupted in many countries. He also claimed that Cuba has been without electricity for 10 to 15 days.
Rizvi said, “Of the world’s total oil tankers and fuel-carrying vessels, five percent pass through the Strait of Hormuz. What is happening there? Don’t you see what the opposition party is [saying]?”
