Saudia Cargo adds Dhaka-Frankfurt route

Saudia Cargo has launched a new scheduled freighter service from Dhaka to Frankfurt, Germany, as part of its expansion of its international network. Bangladesh is an important country in Asia as one of the leading producers and exporters of ready-made garments, textiles and perishable goods. The new air connection has been established to increase international trade flows and make supply chains between Asian and European markets more efficient and faster.

The new service, which began on August 14, will operate two cargo flights a week. The Dhaka-Frankfurt route will reduce transit times for international shipments while improving transport reliability. As Frankfurt is one of Europe’s major logistics and financial hubs, the service will make it easier for Bangladeshi businesses and freight forwarders to access major consumer and industrial markets across Europe.

The new connection will strengthen the overall supply chain between the two continents by enabling faster transportation of high-demand goods such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, industrial machinery and e-commerce products.

Saudia Cargo has achieved continued success by transporting more than 570,000 tonnes of cargo annually to more than 90 international destinations. The launch of the new route is part of the company’s ongoing expansion. Four recently contracted Boeing 777-200 freighter aircraft, acquired to modernise its fleet and increase operational capacity, will further enhance the new connection.
