Six Senior Police Officers Sacked Over Charges of Fleeing
The government has dismissed six police officers from their jobs. The officers face charges of fleeing their duties. Former Dhaka District Superintendent of Police Mr. Asaduzzaman is among those dismissed. The Ministry of Home Affairs announced the decision on Monday.
The Ministry issued separate notifications on September 21. Senior Secretary Mr. Manjur Morshed Chowdhury signed the notifications. The orders take effect immediately, the notifications stated.
The notifications named six officers in total. They are former Superintendent of Police Mr. Arifur Rahman Mondal, former Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Rajib Das from Secretariat security, and former Additional DIG Mr. Mohammad Zayedul Alam.
The list also includes former ATU Superintendent of Police Mr. Mohammad Chhanowar Hossain and former Additional Superintendent of Police Mr. Palash Ranjan Dey. Former Dhaka Superintendent of Police Mr. Asaduzzaman completes the list of six dismissed officers.
