Special Anti-Crime Drive

In light of recent troubling incidents, special drives against youth gangs and narcotics have been launched across various areas, leading to the detention of hundreds of teenagers and young adults. However, just as an increase in exam pass rates does not necessarily reflect an improvement in the quality of education, a higher number of raids does not automatically signal an enhanced law enforcement situation.

In the past, allegations of exam malpractice, irregularities, and unfair means have called the credibility of the education system into question. Similarly, the current anti-narcotics drives must be conducted strictly based on specific intelligence, evidence, and legal procedures. It is the administration’s responsibility to ensure that no innocent individual, particularly women and young people, falls victim to harassment or injustice.

The success of these operations lies not in sheer numbers, but in taking effective legal action against real offenders and drug traffickers. Just as we seek authentic evaluation of merit in education, we demand the prosecution of actual perpetrators in law enforcement. Our focus should be on the underlying reality, not just the numbers.
