Three Service Chiefs Pay Courtesy Call on President

The chiefs of the three armed forces paid a courtesy call on President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at Bangabhaban on Tuesday afternoon. Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman, Navy Chief Admiral Khondaker Misbah-ul-Azeem and Air Chief Marshal Hassan Mahmud Khan met the President and exchanged views. The President congratulated the three service chiefs and wished them success in their new roles.
During the meeting, the chiefs briefed the President on the activities of their respective forces and sought his guidance and cooperation as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed satisfaction with the activities of the armed forces. He said the government is working to develop the armed forces into a modern four-dimensional force. The President assured the service chiefs of continued support for the overall development of the armed forces and for improving the professional skills of their personnel.
