2027 SSC and Equivalent Exam Date Announced

The 2027 SSC and equivalent examinations will begin on March 14 and continue until April 15, according to a decision by the Ministry of Education. The final schedule was approved at a meeting at the Ministry of Education on Monday (August 24). Syed Akhtaruzzaman, president of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, confirmed the decision.

The examinations were previously scheduled to begin on January 7, 2027. The new decision changes that schedule. SSC and equivalent examinations are usually held in February, while HSC and equivalent examinations are generally held in April. However, the schedule has been disrupted several times in recent years, mainly due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The government is reviewing the examination calendar to reduce the loss of valuable academic time. In a March 25 notification, the Ministry of Education said it was considering reforms, including the possibility of completing the SSC and HSC examinations by December 31 each year.
