Biman Suspends All Riyadh-Dammam Flights until October 18

In view of passenger safety amid ongoing attacks on Saudi Arabian airports, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended all its flights from Dhaka to Riyadh and Dammam until October 18. The decision was announced by the airline in a press release on Thursday, October 15. According to the press release, all flight operations on the Dhaka-Riyadh and Dhaka-Dammam routes will remain suspended until October 18 (Bangladesh Standard Time). Further decisions and revised schedules regarding these flights will be communicated in due course.
Meanwhile, Jeddah and Madinah international airports remain available as alternative gateways for travel to and from Saudi Arabia. To accommodate passenger demand, Biman has replaced its Boeing 787 with a larger Boeing 777 aircraft on the Madinah route, increasing capacity by 148 seats per flight.
Additionally, three extra flights have been arranged on the Jeddah route. Consequently, despite the suspension of services to Riyadh and Dammam, passengers can still travel to Saudi Arabia and return to Bangladesh via Jeddah and Madinah. Biman Bangladesh Airlines has advised passengers to contact their nearest sales centers for ticketing and travel information. The rescheduled dates and future updates regarding the suspended flights will be announced later.
