Relief Minister: Ganapati Family Murder Trial to Conclude Soon

Mr. Asadul Habib Dulu, the minister of disaster management and relief, declared the recent murder of four people the most mass murder in Rangpur’s history and emphasized that a fair investigation is being conducted to identify the real criminals. He told reporters on Saturday, during the laying of the foundation stone for a Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit service building at Rangpur Medical College and Hospital, that the administration is taking the time it needs to undertake an in-depth investigation. To speed up the legal procedure, he hoped that a chargesheet would be filed in a few days.

Speaking about advancements in healthcare, the minister noted that the hospital’s lack of anesthesiologists prevented the introduction of new ICU beds earlier. He did, however, express hope that the ICU beds will be operational within a month now that the required staff has been appointed. He said that irregularities and corruption have led every sector, including health, to the point of failure during the last 17 years, and that the PM is now giving healthcare and national recruiting priority to address the workforce gap.

According to hospital sources, the construction of the new six-storied facility for the distinct Burn and Plastic Surgery department would cost 10 crore taka. According to facility designs, an electric control room and generator substation are located on the first floor, a store room is located on the third floor, and Ansar staff’s dormitories are located on the fourth through sixth floors. Rangpur Development Authority Chairman Mr. Shamsuzzaman Samu, Principal Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain of Rangpur Medical College, and Hospital Director Brigadier General Mr. Ashikur Rahman were among the important figures in attendance for the opening.

Before his hospital visit, Minister Asadul Habib Dulu opened the Bangladesh Public Service Commission Secretariat’s recently built regional office in Rangpur city’s Guptapara neighborhood. The sequence of events brought to light the division’s continuous administrative efforts to address public service delivery, critical regional infrastructure, and prominent security issues.
