There Is No Alternative To Islamic And Nationalist Unity: Ruhul Kabir Rizvi
On Monday, August 31, senior members of the Islami Oikya Jot visited the BNP central office in Naya Paltan and gave flowers to BNP Senior Joint Secretary General, Mr. Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, as a token of gratitude. A powerful demonstration of political unity was shown by the delegation, which included Islami Oikya Jot Joint Secretary General Maulana Md. Elias Athari, Dhaka Metropolitan General Secretary Nazmul Haque, Joint General Secretary Mufti Humayun Kabir, Islami Chhatra Samaj Central President Hafez Belal Hossain, Secretary General H. M. Barkatullah, and Dhaka Metropolitan Publicity Secretary Mufti Al Amin.
Mr. Ruhul Kabir Rizvi stated during the meeting that the Islami Oikya Jot helped bring up the ongoing movement that ultimately overthrew the Sheikh Hasina regime. He expressed his optimism that this coalition will continue to protect democracy and promote the welfare of the country, adding that cooperation between Islamic and nationalist parties is still essential to its progress.
In response to current political difficulties, the leader of the BNP called for cooperation to institutionalize democracy and warned that fascist elements are always trying to undermine the nation. Before ending the visit by receiving flowers with the team, he urged all political companions to support PM Tarique Rahman’s nation-building initiatives.
