Regarding Responding to the Iqamah Before Congregational Fard Prayer

Question: Is it necessary to respond to the iqamah (call to prayer) given before the congregational fard prayer? And should one respond to the adhan given before the Friday sermon?

Answer: There is a Sunnah method of responding to the iqamah. One should follow that method. You may learn the Sunnah method from a local Islamic scholar. As for Friday, it is sufficient to respond to any one of the adhans.
