Xi-Putin Summit Key to Stable Russia-China Relations: Chinese Foreign Ministry

Amid Western dominance and geopolitical tensions over the emerging multipolar world order, China has reaffirmed its commitment to further strengthening its strategic partnership with Russia.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry has said that direct communication and summits between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin are the main political guarantee for the stable and long-term development of bilateral relations.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun made the remarks in a statement on the expected meeting between the two leaders on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, which will be held in Shenzhen, China, in November.
He said that strategic guidance at the highest level is the strongest political foundation of the friendly relations between Beijing and Moscow.
The Chinese spokesperson also said China warmly welcomes President Putin’s participation in the upcoming APEC summit. Beijing is fully prepared to work with Moscow to ensure the success of the “APEC China Year.”
International attention is now focused on Shenzhen, where the two leaders are expected to discuss issues concerning bilateral relations and the changing global geopolitical landscape.
